Kew Bookshop Design

There has been a bookshop on this site for 40 years, located in two wooden sheds circa.1880. The shop is adjacent to Kew Station in a pleasant square of popular shops. Its sales were fading owing to its poor layout and unattractive façade. While retaining the original structure, we removed all the internal walls to open up the space, levelled the floor and installed a new period façade with canopies. Our shelving system and island units on castors allow a very dense stocking level. The turnover is up 40% and steadily rising. Hardback sales have improved significantly.
